It's pointless but its cool.
I've seen tons of DBZ sprite animations like that, you should have taken one of Frieza or Cell or something also and just put it front of Goku's Kamehameha. Then write a little summary of The Frieza saga or Cell saga, and you have yourself a plot.

If you actually play the game, go to the title, and click on the P in MarioPaint... you'll see something like this... and the flowers are STILL bigger.
